Hi guys, me and the mrs are going to drive from Birmingham to chamonix at the end of January 2013. I've looked at fuel cost, tolls, tunnel etc, the thing that's worrying me is that apparently the French rozzers insist on snow chains amongst other crazy stuff like a hi viz vest! Does my range rover sport really need chains? If so, then this is a problem, I have 22" rims, and I believe you can't get chains for anything bigger than 19", also, do you have to use chains on all four wheels? Is it possible to hire chains? What about snow socks? Are they acceptable to th authorities? Are they available in 22"? Please help guys!!!!!!
