Hi all I found myself buying another 90 td5 2000 plate for my sins. It was a farm vehicle a year or so ago but now it's looking a tad better. I'm having issue as all Landy owners do. I Seem to be waiting ages for the boost to kick in and have change an awful lot of parts but now I'm stumped.
New intercooler
Blanked egr
New airflow meter
New turbo
New fuel filter
But still no joy. Any ideas would be gratefully received

Could be something as simple as low fuel pressure, or boost regulator on wastegate

When I bought the truck the fuel pump had come loose so I pushed it back down and tightened the ring. It's an early td5 so doesn't have boost control etc I've put a brand new Garrett turbo on today :(
 
Hiya, I take it that hasn't helped either? Has it ever run right or always been sluggish? Might be time to go back to basics, check injection timing etc,you've just about eliminated all the other obvious stuff

Been like it since I bought it mate it just takes forever to boost its gotta be a fueling problem. It threw up a code earlier. no 57 fuel pump fault drive open load. ??
 
I'm not up on all the codes I'm afraid, def sounds like fuel with that code,I'm sure someone in your area will know,they're a good lot on here and will help out if they can,where are you?
 
I'm in Suffolk so a bit far away, id go right back to the beginning without spending a lot of dosh,start from the tank and work forwards,check the tank filter,water trap,all the way along the fuel pipes for leaks in case its drawing in air,right up into the engine bay,recheck the ecu plug for oil and the one on the head,and if you can get hold of a pressure tester check fuel pressure, also a good idea to gather live data while its running then see what codes come up,I bet if you give it a day or two someone local will see your thread and help out

Haha!it's a pain in the bum innit? I tried all sorts on mine and it ended up being the pump,but cost me a fortune and my sanity before I found out,but that was thanks to some good advice on here so theres hope yet! All the best
