hello all new to site. I got my first defender last year and i love it the proplem ive got is it needs a new chassic,no props there as just got one from foleys. Im not scared of the job ahead as ive got a mk2 escort as a toy. Just like to know how long will it take with fitting all new parts to the chassic;)

Done my series 3 mine in 9 days. 4 days during Easter and 5 evenings needed loads of new zink plated nuts and bolts cause most had to be ground off. When I got the cab, wings and back box off I built a scaffold on the front drive to lift the bulkhead .Then the engine and gearbox complete. Also got a few snooty comments from the neighbours who suggested I "lowered the tone of the street" (I believe one them changes his car every 2 yrs to avoid paying the balance on the finance) word of advice if you have stripped dont put back worn parts
