Hi All,

Had a Discovery 3 for the last almost 6 years now. Also had one of the first Freelander 1's for a couple of years from new. The D3 frequently goes offroad (hats the point of buying a landrover if you dont!) but am now thinking of upgrading/downgrading (delete as applicable) to a 110. Although I live in Sussex I think its my Devon blood coming through :D

Cheers

I'm just across the border in East Sussex in Plumpton.

To quote from the Sussex 4X4 Response website (SX4x4R :: Sussex4x4Response)
'A 4x4 Response Group is a volunteer group that can offer a variety of services to Local Authorities, Emergency Services and other Volunteer Agencies. Principally this is providing reliable transport in times of severe weather (Snow, gales, heavy rain and floods) & Other Major Emergencies. This can be to transport essential personnel or supplies to areas that would be hard or impossible to reach in normal vehicles and/or in support of local authorities rest centres.'

almost.....during the snow in Feb all the action was around Hastings where they got it bad. In hindsight I should have nipped over there but was always thinking that the callouts would move west. I think the guys around Hastings transported over 100 people including an all night stint ferrying some nurses around mid Sussex (well someone has to do it!)

If your interested, the next quarterly meeting happens to be tomorrow night at the Jack and Jill Pub, Clayton near Hassocks. Starts 8pm.

I would be interested, unfortunately working both tonight and tomorrow night. I will have a look at their website and read up. Are the quarterly meetings always in Hassocks? As thats not too far from me which is quite handy.

I think they are although I only joined just before XMas. The group started up about a year ago and already has a good membership.

I sent a form to my insurance company and they were perfectly happy....signed and returned to me in a few days. No increase in premium.
