Newbie with petrol Freelander 1 - no problems there, then! However... It would be nice if I could open the tail door. Press the catch, and a faint microswitch click is audible - no window dropping, nothing. Previous responses seem to suggest starting by removing the plastic trim. If the door is shut, how? Two screws at the bottom, then . . . what?
Found advice - fingers between glass and trim and it comes off. 3 screws not two, can be undone with v short screwdriver (angle grinder helped).
Wire hanging loose suggests where problem might be - lack of black. So back into the back with a torch...
