Officially retired and in late 60's but living by the sea in West Wales and running a B & B with my wife. Also heavily involved with the RNLI. We run the Souvenir Shop in the village and are on the local fund raising committee.
Don't own a Landy currently but have a need for a 4x4 as the road conditions round here, especially in winter, can be a little challenging. Am therefore considering a cheapish basic Land Rover to replace my wife's Rover 45 (W Reg, 62k. never had any problems but pretty useless at mud plugging) and supplement our "long distance car", my present Vectra C.
Know very little about Landys in terms of spec, price, possible problems etc. Any advice would be gratefully received.
I do have 2 mates who are well into VERY old Landys, sort of 1950's which they work on constantly but I'm not into that sort of thing. I just need a cheapish, serviceable vehicle for local use.
