Master cylinder gone on my freelander 2. Garage replace with new one.then said wouldn't start.its a stop start one. Re connected old one starts .keeps moaning how difficult it is. Now he has re ordered a new one ?. Anyone else had a issues with this problem. This is a new garage to me as just moved to a new area.

I suspect it's possible the clutch master (I'm assuming it's the clutch?) has a faulty position sensor in it. This would affect the starting, as the control module wouldn't see the clutch pedal was down, which would inhibit starting.

Is the garage using original parts or after market part, if so it may be reading it as non specific part ?
