Hi everyone

Just a quick introduction. I owned a 1986 90 a few years ago and had loads of fun with it. I'm no great shakes at motor mechanics but I used to service it myself and do reasonably straightforward maintenance jobs. After a break of 10 years or so I've just bought a 1989 90 CSW rebuilt on a Marsland galvanised chassis. I'm 63 so I reckon it will outlive me. Generally it's in great shape but the swivel housings need replacing. I might pluck up courage to do that myself, found some great videos on You Tube. But I'll probably be looking for lots of advice from other members over the years. This is a great community.

Welcome frae a another landyman. Your further north. An earlyish Defender. Good luck with the swivels. There is indeed a few really good vids on You Tube which gives stage by stage instructions. Your vehicle should be good for all that snow up your way in winter.
