Hi I'm new to this forum, I'm the proud owner of a 2000 Defender 90 Td5, I've had it a month and it's been a joyful pain for about a month. So I now understand the love and annoyance that the defender brings. Oil leaking everywhere, strange noises when driving and the most fun I've had with a vehicle ever.

Can anyone please identify the scraping noise in the below recording?

Start a thread in the defender section - more will see it and reply.

And add some more detail, what's are you doing at the time of scraping? Braking accelerating steering or what?

Apologies, like I said I'm new to posting on forums, I have posted under new member as well but thought this was more fitting with the problem.

Its mainly when I'm locked left, I'm thinking its possibly the CV joint but unsure so thought I would see if anyone else recognised the noise!
