Hi all,
Just a few words to introduce myself, Im Mike from the South Wales valleys. Recently bought a 20 year old Defender 90 with a 300 TDi for getting back and forth to work in the snow and more importantly, for fun. I looked at all the options, Pajero, Freelander, Big Horn and so on but lets face it, there is only one option; ok two options, a Hilux pickup.
Problems, yes but I think they are just the usual British quirks - wobbly speedo, small bit of rust, noisy engine that sounds like it is about to blow up (maybe Im just being paranoid about that!!), crap gear box when cold, sticky transfer box stick, leaky sun roof ...............................................
Ive done a bit of spannering over the years on my old Triumph Bonnie, so bring on the fun. I have a list of things I need to tackle, first the little bits of rust, then the 4wd stick. After that check the wiring and put it in flexi conduit for protection.
I hope its not a bannable offence to mention Pajero
