hi there first time post so here goes,
I am in the market for a used 4x4 and was hoping for some unbiased advise
I have around five grand to spend and am drawn to either a 2000 disco with around 140000 miles air con leather and all the toys or a older defender station wagon with around 100k on the clock.
The only must is diesel and hard top min 4 seats as I will be using it for commuting to collage (so called mature student
) and business (I'm a locksmith so tools and stock would need to be secure whilst working)
Also we go open canoeing so fitabilty (possibly not a real word but it should be) of roof racks for 12foot canoe would be nice
Done lots of looking on-line and now just want advise which is likely to be most reliable and hold its value and be easiest to work on (reasonable mech skills ex army so have serviced defenders before)
