Anyone fitted an HHO generator to a 2.2 ,tdci defender? If so how do you find it? Has it reduced fuel consumption and given a cleaner burn?

What is an HHO generator?
By HHO I assume you mean hydrogen generators?
I will just say this, if you want fuel efficiency in a vehicle then buy a Ford Fiesta 1.4TDCi 65+mpg all day long

Very big in USA and Canada but not well heard of in UK.Just been googling, hydrogen generators, seems they have a bit of a cult following but there has never been any widespread uptake of them.

Think for £200 worth a go especially when my defender only does 12mpg if l really drive itI think they are all hype. Discredited in most cases though.
It's your £200. Do report back with results, good or bad.Think for £200 worth a go especially when my defender only does 12mpg if l really drive it
The best ones are complwte cells with a bubble trap, no back pressure then and connect to brake vaccum hose so sucked i to manifold. Very big on big USA pick ups. For £200 worth a go l supposeCommonly known as Browns gas (if I remember).
Lots of hype about running a complete engine on it alone, and rumours of guys who claimed they could getting killed for it.
On a diesel I have no idea (but is fitted) but did a lot of reading about it on a petrol engine and supposed to give good gains, with a few adjustments.
Lots of hassle with the fluid in it when you need to change.
There is some good reading on the net and, some bad.
It’s not pure Hydrogen. thou, it is as explosive if not handled correctly, it can not be compressed much so not able to store.
Never tried as M said I need to build a shed “Over there” “No over therererererer”.
So never got into doing it, but in all honesty, I would give it a go when I have time and nothing else to do.(and Ms not looking)
It don’t come any cleaner as far as burn. So if you use it as an additive it’s got to be cleaner than what’s being burnt now.
I think Hydrogen is going to be a good alternative for us petrol heads if we want to keep our ICE in the future.
Just my thoughts
