alas like many on here I’ve had landies for around 30 x years , never had a defender but had a number of series landies including a safari which my kids adored

not wishing to be rude but if u unsure in what to look for maybe get someone who knows defenders to go with u to have a look , or get a full inspection from the AA or RAC

When I’ve looked at a new purchase I’ve always started with the condition of the chassis , bulkhead, lifting carpets and go from one end to the other

Ur also find this forum full of extremely helpful and knowledgeable
