Hi fellow rangie lovers, ive got my usual stupid question forr the week... how the soddin hell do you turn the heaters off.
Ive tried every possible way and switch position (pressed every button in every way) even tries auto but the fans allways run (slow) its ok when driving as i just adjust the heat but its annoying when im working on the rangie with just the ignition on and the fans running, its killing my bttery and gettin on my wobblies.
If any1 has the answer id be very gratefull as once again its makin me feel like a reet "twonk".:D

If by heaters you actually mean blowers, pull the relays while you are working on it, that stops them:D

Yeh the blowers... good idea about the relays tho cheers for that, you would of thought that you could turn them off off tho, i mean surley the fan units are wasting away constantly (if its constantly running the life is gona be shortend) but either way at least i can shut em off for maintainance lol.:D:D

Press AC button to make the orange light blink. Orange light blinking means AC off.
Then turn the round button to the left and you'll see the last segment disappear.
Blowers should be off.

The orange light blinking means that the AC has been unable to achieve the temperature set on the display - read the handbook!
The AC is off when the orange light in ON.
You can turn the fans off by turning the round button to the left until all of the segments on the fan speed display disappear.

mine doesnt disapear, it just goes very small, as in lowest setting. my mates does the same as mine.

Not quite. When you switch the AC off it blinks for 4 seconds to inform you that you have just made it impossible for the system to maintain/attain the temperature that's been set. Then it glows steady. Once it glows steady you should be able to turn the fan speed knob anti-clockwise till the line of dashes disappears. if the AC is on (orange light off) then it will only dial down to the lowest speed (one dash on display) but not completely switch off.

or you can pull the relays. :)

Mine does the same. Or at least, it did until I figured it out: the dial has a bad connection contact and sometimes it turns but does not affect the blowers settings. Keep turning it counter-clockwise and it the last dash will (eventually) disappear.
