HEVAC problems again

I have all the blend motors done, a new air con rad and fans, and finally had it regassed yesterday, all worked fine till today when the dreaded symbol has come back on and i have lost my air con
Does anyone have any ideas of what i can try and do to sort the problem

Did you have the ecu code read as it stores the faults and should be able to tell you the fault. My HEVAC screen has started playing up the otherday, the screen just loses most of the symobols, and so I end up with just bit's of the numbers and speed bar at the top visable, anyone any idea about this as well?

CHECK THE BACKLIGHT ...

I thought the same thing but what makes me think it might not be that is the bits of the numbers etc that are visable are bright, does tht still sound like the bulb (I really hope it is!!) Sorry for hijacking the thread a bit!

Whilst searching on how to change the bulb on my Hevac (P38) i came across a site that described your exact problem..From memory it described that if grit/dirt/crap had gotten down between the plastic frame and the small square LCD it would put pressure on the LCD and fade the details (like if you push on a calculator screen)..Sure it went into how you should gently press around the edge of the LCD screen to see if you can get the details to come back,indicating where the problem is.......
I think if the bulbs gone you will get ALL the details but very faint..

Im sure there was a recall with the P38 Air con clutch? Required an additional piece of loom..but it caused aircon probs even with good Blend motors and fully charged system...Try contacting RedRange,as i know he done his....
