Hi Guys!!

I think I know the answer, but wanna confirm before I pay out lots of cash......

My HEVAC is being strange......ages ago I had a blend motor fail....change out all good for a while.....just in the last few months I have been getting the book symbol up but all working good still....then sometimes, hot air pass, cold air drivers.

Reading the faults throws up a few different things, sometimes clear sometimes doesnt.

Reading today (Had a spare min) I got - Blower Motor Right - Short Circuit, Blower Motor Left - Short Circuit, Blend Motor Right - Short Circuit, Blend Motor Left - Short Circuit and Heater Core - Short Circuit......

I don't think all those things are faulty? (Hoping!).

So....question is....is it/could it be the HEVAC Control Unit? (Also it has had no lights on it since I bought it).

I know its all guesswork, but u guys are educated!! :)

heater blower motor faults usually good indication of engine compartment fuse box, otherwise clear faults as soon as symbol appears plug it back in and see whats there.
display is only bulbs search around there are guides on how to change them.

Hi,

Thanks for your response.

Last time i checked the fuse box, all was ok, but i will look again.

When i first got the car i tried changing the lamps, but it didnt do anything, still none worked, i guessed it was something major and just left it alone....

When i clear them they just come back....lately the symbol doesnt even go.....

Try the bay, i found a fully working Hevac unit for £40, little patience and one will pop up at auction.
Could rule out a lot of speculations.

if it were me i would replace heater core sensor as a start just clips on the ali pipes which goes into heater matrix clear faults and see if that fault has gone it is only about £16 from island4x4 if it goes away then would lead me to beleave that maybe hevac unit was okay and i had a few more faults than i had hoped!
was the blend motor a new one? was a britpart single new one? nothing to say the other side hasnt failed and the new one isnt faulty! i would prob go through wiring connecters before scrapping heater motors or the hevac and remove the fusebox to look between the boards
