Hevac/fusebox problems?

Thanks for all the replies and thanks Wammers for the explanation on the blend motors. Fortunately I did not damage my mates ones as he has back on his car working okay. Something for me to note in the future. I will let you all know what I/we end up buying and how we get on with it as I really want to go down the unlocked route to cover all of my cars and any future ones.
Cheers
Dean

Hi guys, just been over to my mates as he has purchased a Hawkeye Pro (he didn't want to go halves in the end as he said we live too far apart). We plugged in and 17 different faults of which most were historic so cleared when we cleared the DTC's. We were left with three faults which were all the same but one for each of the motors. The fault being " left, right or top blend motor fault _ sc (short circuit) to 12v or other circuit". This would possibly tie in with my manual tests which had no output to any of the motors (tested with meter at plug pins). I have now found out that the previous owner had the controller replaced by his local garage which did not cure his fault on the Hevac (unknown what his fault was).
Has anyone had these faults on any of their motors and if so how was it overcome?
Does anyone know if these faults could be caused if the garage fitted the wrong control module I.E. the later type (I have looked but can find no part number on it)?
Thanks
Dean

No the Hevac unit will not cause the faults unless it is itself faulty. Short circuit could be as little as carbon dust build up on motor commutator. But you will only find that out if you strip the blend motor and the small electric motor and clean it. Motor stalled is usually associated with distribution motor and will be tight flap bearings or tight quadrant pivot. Blend motors usually do not get stall faults because they are individual small flaps one either side.

Okay thanks for the answer Wammers. I will get round to checking the motors out but just had trouble with L322. Changed all disks and pads and had front left bag burst after about an hour of being on maximum setting. I am going to have to do that first as this car is my daily.
Oh well that's life I suppose?:(

Just to let you all know that both the P38 hevac problem is sorted, it was the controller and the L322 is sorted. Now I have to sort out challenge defender as I rolled it last weekend. Landy's certainly keep us busy?
