Hertfordshire Lanes?????

Hey rangie see you on here... fancy a day out locally sometime soon?

Should mention... drove pepperstock this evening as we sometimes do before the kids bed time. Two new areas of dumped glass shards to be wary of about half way down. I tried to clear as much as ossible from the first but the second I just covered up with the cardboard boxes that were already there and drove over it.

Bastids,,, and to think I have stuff here to catch the dumping scumbags but the council aren;t interested!

What we saying is it worth getting hold of the glass rep and asking if we can get hold of the local council so we can get clearance to spend an evening clearing it up and taking it to the tip? The landy could do with a trailer trip. I'll get on it Now Jai

Ok emailed the local Glass Rep, Actually I have met him a few years back at a Glass pub meet in Whipsnade but I happen to know he sits on the council so I await his response. We cannot really collect the rubbish together until we know we can dispose of it without being charged or waiting for a 3 time only dumping permit to come through the post. Jai

have pleaded with council in past......"if you 'repair' lanes so pikies trannies can drive them they will be handy dumping grounds for them ....& their kids will 'joyride' astras & burn them ..... please dont surface them OR maybe construct humps ' entrances?" but fear these suggestions too sensible?!!!

Jai I reckon you are right. If we clear the lane it is just going to happen again. Drove it last week and there was a transit burned out in the way too!

however... if we don't do something to help we are going to lose the lane. Stupid thing is I could put a device there that would catch the buggers in about ten minutes flat. Its just that it costs a few quid. Nothing like the amount it costs to resurface it thotugh!

Well no reply as yet from the man. But I will phone the council direct this am to ask them what they think. Jai

its a land rover run from london to brighton shed load of landys all types from all over the country 25 quid tho but that includes one night camping on the old grounds of crystal palace and a t shirt so not all bad

was looking into getting made a Support our troops one if I can't get hold of a H4H one Jai

May be able to get them at Billing next week.I will ad them to my forever increasing list of things to check out and buy. Steve
