Finally got around to converting and uploading the videos from last week. The quality of the first few are poor due to the rain, but they improve as the day brightens up.

That would be good Jai... at your convenience really... doing some juggling to get the motor onto the drive so I can work on it... BTW Andy the Astra is ready for your attention whenever ou are ready!

Sorry to here it's finally given out. I always have a spare seat if you want for next Saturday.

Thanks mate... might well take youi upu on that! To be fair... Jai and Andy both told me it was dodgy come time ago... but I reasoned... Ah well it works so drive it. It was going to go at some point just lucky that Jai has one to hand.

Is there anything that can't be found in Jai's garden? (Exscept Rachel maybe) lol

Chris transferbox swapout is only a days work at home on the drive. Undo the exhaust section, x member, mounts, remove mount from transfer box, undo linkage and get ready to drop it out. Its not a mahisive job. Get yourself a new input seal actually get 2 just in case. I do find the more you worry about doing a job the worse it seems when really its not that bad to get done. Just make it a mission and get it done.

P.s I want no talk of faffing about with pulley systems and that bollix just lift the fecker up and on. Jai

hi guys.. put me on the list for wednesdays pub meet. all i need i need is for some kind fellow to give me a postcode or directions from surrey..

desperatley tyring to get my axle done on the series ready for the 8th

cheers

mark

Thanks for those words of wisdom Jai... got to make some space to get hte thing on the drive... hoping to put the chassis in the back garden... then attack the transfer box... as you say... We've done it once so it shouldn't be so traumatic the second time around... am thinking of doing the rear engine oil seal and the clutch at the same time though.

has Andy been over to weld up the new beast!

He called a while ago... unfortunately I buggered my back up trying to move Kai's chassis last night and it took me a while to get some clothes on and get downstaits... he had gone by that time. Tried to phone him but his phone is off, have texted him though so with a bit of luck we will hear from him soon.

It will take a lot of the pressure off once that is done... at least we will have transport so it won't matter if the disco takes a while and has a number of jobs completed all at the same time!

whats up with your axle?

cheers for the postcode,, as for my axle, the front diff collapsed reversing out the workshop:doh:

fitted new diff today and new w/bearings each end and made up a mount for the steering damper, nearlly ready, hopfully gettin the rest done tommorow.
