The one thing I did on mine when I bought it was to change the trans fluid.

I think a lot of people don't, even on high mileage vehicles, which is maybe why they get problems.

Same here. Fluids are cheap compared with the cost of the bits they lubricate.

Doesn't matter what fluids you change religiously at the correct times with the correct fluids...they rust to fxxk...especilally discos it would seem...a rushed design me thinks...you should see the D1 discos down here in Portugal you'd weep...but theyre not cheap...but not a speck of rust...but they wern't designed for our climate were they?...
