good day all!

si a few weeks back i knackered my steering rotary coupler, so substituted it for a new one, hurray all worked well, but noticed in the past few days the cruise control stopped working. scratch that after i fitted the new coupler "engage" cruise control "speed up" worked fine, "slow" or "-" didnt work (i could live with that), now none of it is working. the horn works fine and the SRS is fine also. anyone any thoughts? i think the coupler is fine inspected it before install and it seemed in good nick.

god i love owning a range rover....! :D every day is a new challenge!

Mine wasn't working either recently despite all the switches giving a proper signal. Turned out it was nothing electrical at all. It was the tiniest bit of hose out the back of the T Piece on the cruise actuator diaphragm that was perished. A new bit on and bingo!

You can't cancel the cruise control from the steering wheel with the Diesel P38, you have to hit the brake. Don't know why they made it different to the petrol one, its just one of those things!

As above Garrett, its likely you have a leak if it's stopped all of a sudden.

How come other people can fix their cruise control with a few bits of pipe and mine turns out to be the cruise control switch converter (little relay under dash ERR 4277) and cost £50 ! its a diesel by the way.

Cos there are no bits of pipe on the Diesel, it's electronic:doh:

got a similar problem with my steering coupler(well i think its that!) my horn recently stopped working, according to the neighbours one night when i was away the horn was going off alot! now if you press the horn with the bonnet open you can hear the relay clicking, now im no expert but im starting to think the horns might be at fault? any ideas??

Yes Datatek I know its electronic but why could,nt it have been the brake light switch or the dash switch niether of which cost any where near £50 ! Guess I just have to be different !!

i changed the steering wheel on mine every thing worked fine till i changed it but a couple of the lads sed it could be the casset at the back of the wheel at fault
