easy to tell the difference the d2 is parked up with electrical problems an the d1 just keeps goin :5bdriving:

D1300tdi tp sept98
D2 TD5 Sept98 to May 2004

Discovery 200TDi 89 - 94/L reg. The headlights were smaller and surrounded by black plastic.

Discovery 300TDi 94/M reg - 98 (a handful were registered on a T suffix plate. Larger headlights.

Discovery TD5 98 - 1st incarnation of this model had headlight trims.

FFS tis simple a D2 has a TD5 engine and they call it a TD5 cos it's got FIVE cylinders.
