Hello All,

Drove to work this morning and uphill from about 60-70 it’s starts vibrating that I could think the

Car falls apart, if getting faster it gets worse. A bloke from LR said about two years ago, that I should get the torque converter checked as it wouldn’t get the power onto the street. As it was checked when the gearbox was re-done in early 2017 I only went to a gearbox specialist to check and he said all fine, but the drive shaft would be it. So bought the one he mentioned and went to one her in UK that fixed the gearbox and he said no all would be ok with. The garage later said only slight play it would have, no big deal, but still having those noises and vibration. Literally they always say when getting there that everything is fine with the car and then telling me I am the driver and should know if anything is wrong with it.

As the propshaft has been taken off due to the gaiter leaking, so it should only coming from the driveshaft, bearings or what else could it be? The transfer box has been set up during the overhaul of the gearbox as well. Just had a look on the invoice.

Could a fuel rail pressure of 146000kPA/70mph come from something like that or is it still in the range of fuel rail pressure as mentioned in the other one. The fuel rail pressure relative to manifold vacuum is about 790kPA. Is that for the MAP sensor and if so is it ok?

Best Regards
Matthias

PS Here is some recording. I hope one can hear it.

PS My wife drove in the city today and said when accelerating she heard rattling noise, but it wouldn't be all the time. Maybe that's why the folks from the garage didn't hear it, if they might have driven it just 5m's.

It appears now at around 50mph uphill and slightly even at 30. Found two threads which are very close to it:

drive shafts | LandyZone - Land Rover Forum
Will go and get the drive shaft o/s changed. The gearbox specialist was right with two out of three (injectors, top strut mount) , hope he'll be also with that one.
Should the transfer box oil be changed if the box is still ok as it was probably under massive strain? Just seen that on the invoice 2019, it was about 20T miles ago. What else would need change? Not sure if you can hear it? It's a subtle noise which souns like diesel nailing, but isn't as far as I see it. When engine is noisier you almost can't hear and even less on recording I guess. Will see if it'll disappear once the drive shaft has been changed.

Short feedback on here after I got the left drive shaft changed some days ago. It approved quite a bit, acceleration is better again, so might get the other one changed as well as there is slight play. Still some issues from gearing third to fourth which might be something else now. The vibration improved a lot and the strange underlying kind of diesel nailing as well.
