I Totaled my 2000 disco and am going to be getting another. Should I get a disco 1 or 2? I really don't want to go to new because I hear about oil pump/block problems with the new ones (4.0). I Cried when that lady pulled out in front of me!!!

If you have already had a Disco 2 then going backwards to a Disco 1 wouldn't make any sense.

Don't hear about those problems in the UK that you mentioned, the 4.0 Rover V8 is a good lump if looked after, and takes a lot of punishment/abuse before giving up the ghost. You are probably thinking of the Jaguar V8?

You don't have the TD5 models in North America so no point in looking at those.
