Hello, I have a 2000 disco 2 v8. Having a bunch of issues mainly indicators are flashing on the dash but not on outside of car. And windows stopped working. Pulled the idm out to find it is all corroded inside and also pulled a pin out in the process of removing it which I have bought a new connector plug for. The idm that I removed has the code YQE103830 (which is not the original idm for this car, it has been replaced before by an auto electrician). I have bought a new idm which is YQE000110. It says on the back that it came from a Td5 (photo included) so I am wondering if it will be okay to install that one into a v8? I also noticed that they appear to have slightly different relays, the new one has two small black ones with a green stripe whereas the old one has the two yellow Siemens ones. Should I remove the old ones from the old idm and put them in the new idm before installing into the car?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Oscar.
