help!!!

hi i got a p38 4.6 hse yesterday and i think i have been had!!!! there is a few problems i have found since getting it home, 1st it the drivers side only blows hot air! (not good in the summer) 2nd the temp guage stays just about half way on motor way but last noght it went too one bar under the red!! 3rd i topped up the expantion tank and now when i drive it the water drips out the over flow and there is pressure in the system when i turn the engine off, i have had a car in the past which had the head gasket gone but it is not as much pressure as that was. 4th when i sit with the car on idle i can see the car keep dropping and then goin back up!
what do you all think, are any of theres normal or what action shall i take??
what other things should i look out for on these cars?

Did you test drive the thing before you bought it?

The dropping and going back up will be an air leak in the suspension

, probably an airbag if the car is more than 8 years old. Easy enough to fix and not too expensive if you DIY. Also be worth doing a compressor ovehaul as it's probably been working overtime if you have a shagged airbag

Just done my airbags, do a search on An idiots guide

If you bought the car from a dealer, take it back and demand that he repairs, sale of goods act, not suitable for purpose inteded etc.

yeah test drove it till the engine stopped rising and every thing seemed fine, only noticed all these problems 200 miles later when i was home, so as you can imagine im not too happy!!!!!!!!!

how do i keep it jacked up while i take out the old air bags? how much did it cost you to do yours?

Put axle stands under the chassis and lower the jack.

Thinking about replacing my airbags after I've done the compressor.

One of the guys on here helpfully pointed me in the direction of Ebay and these items

Ebay item 280342885598 for air springs
Ebay item 350182847451 for compressor seal kit.

Air bags appear to be are available for about £280 for 4 or £230 for 4 for dunlop ones on Island 4x4 site or there are other spares sites which will sell them.

However I'd get the overheating issue sorted first
