Hi i have a 2000 1.8 petrol freelander it has started playing up.it wont start up on key but it bumps it reaches 60 mph then dies anyone any ideas plz

how long have you had it?

only 2 months got it for work i also have a 2005 td4 wish i bought another diesel now

if it was bought from a dealer - then read the "crock of ****" thread - then return it whence it came - unfit for purpose!


why I can never find buyers like this?

No it can be but you shouldn't have to

can it be fixed - yes
can it be fixed cheaply - i doubt it
is it your responsibility to fix it - no
is it the responsibility of the seller - yes.
why spend your money on something that isnt your problem?
if you fix it - yu wont have any comeback later for anything else.

so why bother?

take it back - say it is of unmerchantable quality - ie "not fit for purpose" - and tell em to fix it!.

We suggest you exercise those rights and take it back
