As maybe afew of you noticed i have posted afew times about the defender 90 i have just bought.Like alot of people,i bought it knowing little about cars let alone land rovers,i am good with my hands and thought i would manage as most of the issues are cosmetic or light work i could do myself(or so i thought)

It does'nt need anything mechanical doing to it that i know of anyway but even with the stuff i want to do i am finding i either dont have the knowledge or the right tools to do the work nor do i know where to start!

i was wondering if anyone on the forum would consider helping me?
i am in central scotland and would really appreciate the help if anyone is near by

thanks alot
allan

If yur strugglin dont be afraid to ask, the guys on here are a helpfull bunch (if also a buch of **** takers). If you have a genuine question you get a straight answer and if you have a basic tool kit you will get by. Landys is just big boys (and gurls) meccano sets

cheers buster,appreciate it!!!

JP...afew small holes and rust around bulkhead and vents,do i weld or fill? problem is.. i dont have any equipment to weld and if filling, what with?
soundproofing is another major thing, what are the main area to cover and what works well and is cheap?
bottom of both driver and passenger doors are rotten away at bottom, would filling be enough to prevent further rot?
they are the main things for now anyway mate

cheers
