I do not have any rear roof lining and need some advice on what to do with the rear of my Hardtop.

I am thinking of lining the roof with camping mats, replacing the insulation boards with new ones, laying 10mm thick rubber matting on the floor, ply lining the sides and floor and then fitting black carpet on top of the ply lining (covering the sides and floor). I was then going to fit two benches on the sides for passengers.

I am not sure what to fit on top of the camping mats on the roof?

Any help would be great!

Thanks.

I used the foam wallpaper stuck on with Copydex, and it not only reduces the noise, it also elininates condensation.
A friend stuck some cheap material offcuts onto it to make it look better and stop it from deteriorating!

Why not just buy the right kit for it, sticking carpet to your roof is pikey at best.

As for the bench seats pending on the DVLA and Insurance cover for a commercial landy. Plus the age might infringe safety laws due to the bench seat will need seat belt. Sound proofing tape can dampen the vibration of the panels. Quite a few do use the camping mat then thin carpets glued on top. A nice shag pile could also help deaden the screams as you go kidnapping only kiddingo_O Make sure the roof and side panels air tight from leaks because all that hard work will stink from rotting and ruin the job.:(
