Hi All
I have searched the RAVE cd but cannot find any where a mention of the radius arm removal on its own. I have found a mention as part of the axle removal but I'm now stuck. I have cut through the bolts holding the front arm bushes and both arms are now loose. I have then tried to remove the steering link bar track rods but cannot get enough lift to get them out of their locating holes. What have I missed????? getting :mad::mad::mad:ed off now and cold with it.

Regards Craig

I don't know too much about the way the front of a P38 is set up but I did my radius arm bushes about 2 weeks ago. It is quite easy, undo all the bolts on the radius arm, undo and pop off the ball joints on the track rod, get a pry bar and gently lever the front of the radius arm down. Now, clearances are a bit tight and you will probably need to get a jack in there somewhere to raise the axle but a bit of wiggling about should have it out of there. It worked on my Classic so hope that is of use to ya. I didn't remove the steering damper and I had enough room to get the radius arms out even with the track rod hanging off the damper.

In the alternative, have you tried looking at Rave to get the procedure for a Classic, think it is similar.

instead of trying to remove the whole front anti roll bar just remove the front clamps and the bar will swing down, you can then manover it so you can get in and remove the bolts to remove the radius arm

sorry read the post wrong, have you removed the road wheel, makes it alot easier to get the track rod ends out of the way, also put the steering on full lock,to the left fro the drivers side radius arm and vice versa
