Hi landyzone people hope you all had a nice xmas and new year.

Brought myself another 90 with disco 200 tdi engine fitted . Has old type glass fuses wich have all been replaced for new so all working . When i had the landy there was no electrics working i have now got working upto now ;

Head lights dim / diped
Side lights
Stop an tail lights
Window wipers with washers
Instrument panel lights with interior ligh
Fog light
Heaters
.
I have fitted new indicator stalk and hazzard switch . I cannot get power to stalk for indication the rest is ok ie horn flash. theres power to fuse and green relay and hazzard im confused and cant sort it i give up ill pay someone to get it working its the only thing stopping me takeing for MOT .. Thanks in advance people .

+ 1 to that, how new is new - brand new or second hand?
Check earths and check the flasher unit too, for both power and operation.
Re-seat or check for corrosion / loose wires on Hazard / flasher unit connectors

When you say flasher unit im thinking green relay . I have only 3 relays 1 green 2 bronze . Ive tested switch and its working i have tryed puting another earth to hazzard and relay still no luck. I dont no anything about electics but i dont mind trying .

How old is the 90?
Does it have something like this anywhere?
"LAND ROVER DEFENDER 4 PIN FLASHER RELAY / FLASHER UNIT UPTO 2007 - PRC8876"

I have put a live to the LGN wire and used tester at stalk i now have on off at stalk and hazzard . But there no flash or clicking i cant get power to indicator lamps .

You should have an LGN from ther flasher to the stalk and an LGN from the hazard swtich to the stalk, which could be on a piggyback connector on either unit with a single LGN to the stalk.

Are your spades on the flasher unit fed through a plug or are they separate? If separate, you might have one on in the wrong place.

OK, If still fitted rip out the live to the LGN.
Try a live to the G on the flasher unit.
The flasher unit blinks all of the time, it is only when you indicate left or right that this power is earthed through the indicator lights.

If you do a live to the G on the flasher (missing out the HAZ switch) you can test basic operation of the stalk switch (providing all cables to the indicators are good & you have good earths)
