OK, I know its Blue but what "shade" / code...

I have just got another door to replace the rotton one and want to
respray the same colour.

Its a 1992 hardtop and is "the common blue" - no metallic.

Is there a paint code anywhere that I could take somewhere to get a
few litres?

Assuming I can get a paint code where would I get the paint from -
cheap? I am assuming 1992 would still be in the cellulose age?

Thanks
Jon

Hi Jon,

Not to sure where you would look to find the paint code from on your 90, but
the following link might help you.

I'd hazard a guess at Arles Blue, but could be wrong.

I don't rate your chances of getting a decent match to 13 year old
paint though!

Halfords will mix it for you and the prices aren't too bad. Just tell
the paint monkey to look under BLMC if he can't find it under Land
Rover (which he probably won't).

Ring Landrover with the reg number and they will give you the paint code.
Halfords will then make you up a pot of paint starting at 6.99 for about 250
mls.

Easy way is to cut a patch out of rotten door and take it to your
favorite paintshop. This old paint is pretty bleached compared to original.
