in fairness it looks sweet. it depends what you want to spend. a 2" just wont get you far enough away to loose the look. but.... if you want to splash out and go to a higher lift then nobody will ever notice

do agree my tyres didnt stick out as much as his to start of, but after fitting my 2" lift you really dont notice how much my tyres stick out :D

the terra arches, are they a slighter curve? does he just need to mark it and cut away whatever they dont cover? i got the old steel rims off mine in the garage, do u think its worth measuring up the difference in offset between them and his shiney alloys? i need the space in the garage and a quick powder coat or whatever and they may sort the problem cheap. and maybe ill get the terra arches cheap ;-) haha

i hate hate hate liftkits unless you do it right....
qt castor correction, and radius arms, and prop shafts, and relocation cones, plus decent springs and shocks....... not cheap... i do alot of road work and dont need it being silly height for no reason.

not sure how all those arches work etc as im not a fan of them

as for the steels rims hes with tyres of that width hed need a decent offset maybe not as big as the wheels he has atm but on standard steelys hed have next to nothing steeing lock

his best bet is to buy some mods (they do a few offsets i think) and there cheap

you say all that

lifted mine two inches not one problem:D

and if you do alot of road work why have you bought massive tyres

Yeah i know alot of people who have had 2 inch and not have problems but its just the risk isnt did you have to bend your radius arms and what lift kit did you use ?

procomp shocks bp heavy duty springs

no havnt bent them yet guna either bend them at work or get some cranked ones but not a problem as they are tbh

nope, original on mine and no problem at all. question is, why buy a defender to do lots of miles in?

we all own fenders for bizare reasons :) being a farmer being one of them and i do alot of towing. so the point of these arches is to fit them and cut off what doesnt fit....?

mis-type. he said they dont cover all of the bodywork, so im saying to fit them and cut off whatever is left inside them. and not to forget to smooth it off. wow, good old budweiser is doing the trick now

does he have any pics of his problem with these arches as i havnt the foggest what you mean:p

haha id say its doing the trick;)

yeah these dont just seem long enough and look abit daft... theyre identical to flexi arches.... these thingymajjigys

ha not at all what i was thinking anyway! if you dont like how they stop at the front then just cut it to a new shape, but to be honest they are fine as they are, and legal as that is your worry

ah the bit in the sill you mean??

id fit a set of rock sliders then carefully profile out the correct shape in the arch would look ok then ;)
