HI,

I went off-roading today with a friend who was in a freelander (now I know that this is where I went wrong).

I was in my ninety and got a little stuck. The freelander had no chance of pulling me out so..... my 90 is still stuck.

I know this is a long shot, but are there any members in Lincolnshire who would be willing to come out tomorrow (15/06) to help me get my landy out? There's a few quid for whoever can help.

Its a couple of miles from the nearest village (Marshcapel) near to Grimsby.

Please please please help, I have tried everything I can so far, digging, planks of wood, tyres are deflated, rocking. It won't budge. The front two wheels are spinning.

I really didn't want to leave it there overnight but couldn't think of anything else to do.

If you can help, please can you phone/text 07735340112 as I won't have access to the net during the day tomorrow and I'll be back from work in the evening.

Thanks.

can you not hire a tifor and pull it out yourself.

Have you engeged difflock?

Have you tried lifting the back end of yer landy with a high lift to regain traction on the front end? Be sure to use a rope as a guyline to stop the top of the jack twacking the back of yer landy as you lurch forward off the jack.;)

60 miles from me so a bit far as I only have 5 hours for lunch.. ;) (School Caretaker), But I know where it is, if by Marshcapel you actually mean Marshchapel!!

;)

Sent a text, if you're still stuck I might be able to help this evening.

If the front two wheels are spinning, I imagine you could just bung it in diff lock and at least one of the rears will haul you out...

Unless of course, they're spinning as well...?

I got a text back from him saying he had some more local help going, so hopefully he'll be out by now!

Which would have been phase 1 of my recovery plan ... ;)

Where as the Freelander just drives through with the same set up used for driving down the motorway, no silly leavers to play with. A far superior vehicles .
(I think I'll now run away and hide for a month till things settle down)

I think we need to modify "rule 1 of going laning" - previously, "Never go laning alone"...should become..."Never go laning alone or worse, with a gaylander" (Some rules are just too obvious to state!!!)

The going with a Gaylander is not the proplem its the fact the Gaylander didn't get stuck and the 90 did.
