help starting issues

Hi I have a 1974 series 3 and im having starting it for the first time in 2 years, i brought it 1 month ago, i have changed the leads, pugs, coil, battery, rotary arm and dis cap, still wont start ay help, petrol going to the web still ahve no spark at plugs:confused:

Have you checked the fuse for the coil?
 
i replaced the leads one by one, i should have 12v @ the + side , no because the spark plugs have no spark at all

have you got some kinda lectronic bollocks in yer dizzy or have you got contact points?

similar to wots in the piccies

but yule only have one set in yours not two as seen in piccies

yeh i know, what do i need to check in the dizzy then, i just need to get it started so i can get it in the garage as i need some painting done
 
electronic ign ?? dint like the stuff if it dint worked its not easily fixed. if i was you i'd throw it away and go back to having conventional ign in it . that way when it a cold dark wet windy night you have a chance of getting going again..

am not sure what they took out of yer dizzy to put the lectric stuff in. so if you could post a piccy that would help

AHA !! It does have points Slobbo!

Now we can make some progress.

Does he have a 12 volt test meter?
