help shotgun under my bonnet bang

hi all i just bought a deffender 110 2.5 petrol and when i go up hills in it and give it extra gas it back fires and splutters untill i take my foot off the gas slightly any ideas
ps does anybody have the torque settings for the bolt that goes in to the diff from the prop on the rear my seal is burst and its getting replaced today

landys love them or hate them you still got to fix them

so does it back fire when yer running on petrol aswell or just on the gas?

that was quick sorry no gas here just petrol its just a slang term i use thank for looking

sounds like yer ign timing is out or possible duff plugs. anyway thats a good place to start looking.
