Help! Running 02 4.4 v8 with no air filter

Was checking over my Rr prior to service next week & to my horror there is no air filter or air box!!
I bought the car from a garage about 4 weeks ago & they had re conditioned the gear box so I presume it's been missing since then ?
Iv done about 400 miles .
What should I have checked & what potential problems could I encounter?

That's a bit of a releif thanks.

Iv just emailed the garage asking them to forward the parts if they have them(garage is a bit of a distance) and I will ring them in the morning.
Due to the work they done on the gearbox they included a 2 month engine & gearbox warrenty so hopefully they will honour it.

I will buy one off ebAy ASAP if they don't send.

Is there a air supply to the bottom of the air box? Does any one have a diagram?

With it being a month & the potential of debris, what issues could I encounter & what would need to be done & how much roughly?

As warmer said with the damp weather at the moment I really do not think any damage will have been caused. The kind of debris you get in the bottom of air filter boxes IE dried leaves, the odd feather and possibly the odd fag end. If the engine were to ingest any of these objects it would just pass through with no damage. Do not worry.
