Help Rear Seats wont fold up!!!

This is driving me nuts. Rear seats on my 99 TD5 wont fold up fully. Can fold the seat backs forwards but pulling on the cable release wont unlock!
Cant seem to see a way to slide anything to the catch and cant remove seats as the bolts are underneath.
Anyone had this problem before and got it fixed. Any suggestions greatly received as I need to bring a trailer for work now.

p.s should mention this is only on the double seat

we had a problem with the double seat, pulled on the handle to fold them up and nothing happened... something connecting the handle to the release had broken so to do ours you have to find the release with your finger...

on the left side of the seats, just above where the clip is holding the seat down, between the actual seat and the plastic there should be a bolt and washer on the end of a bit of metal, hook your finger under that and pull it up.... This is mostly coming from memory, im not actually round the car atm.

There is a fiddy bit on the centre side of the seats. An old screwdriver blade can move a sliding part backwards to let another part slide over.OPnly to do this you need to move the seat quite a way forwards. I'm guessing you mean tilting the seats forwards. used to bother me until I got got the hang of it.
