help please

ive got a 99 v discovey td5 auto when i turn the key the starter spins starts it but wont cut off untill i put it in gear the the starter stops ive got no electric windows working or central locking and the gear change display stays in park but it goes in gear any ideas can i reset the ecu any way.thanks

i sorted it easy it was a bad Earth strap
Amazing it took me to melt my hand brake cable to find out though !!!!
