whats the symptoms from ird unit? think i'm in same predicament but gonna overhaul it, just been on e bay and you can get brg and seal kit for 120 squid

had a funny grinding noise while driving so went round my mates garage he put it up on lift checked the wheels/ bearings and uj all ok but when he spun the wheel there is a lot of play from ird like slack i went on ebay to and saw that just worried if it was gears as well then cost really gets up ????? read a few sites that say you need correct tools to take them apart though

Hi My ird has just gone and in my case the car is un drivable make no mistake for now i have removed the props and the vcu and put in a ird blanking plate to remove the crown and pinion from the ird a fairly easy job and the plate only cost £ 20 result the car is back in use though 2 whell drive though :doh: hope it doesnt snow too much more lol i have only done this till i have the money for another ird check out www.bellengineering.co.uk
