Some muppet deposited a tin of YELLOW paint on road, by the time I saw it was too late, managed to miss the tin but both near side wheels went a huge puddle of it... Wheel arges now splattered in paint, very ****ed off.

:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Pressure washer no good, have got most of it off using a spatula but still loads on the wheel arch in the awkward bits and insides of mud flaps. Looks well crap and im fuming!!!

Most have come off the tyres, aimed for every puddle during a drive today so not too worried about that.

Any ideas? I am tempted to try white spirit, petrol or the like but worried it could fade the black wheel arch trim.

Any suggestions, and will forever be in your debt.

My Fiesta was sparyed with tar once when I drove passed some roads works. My garage got it all off before I got rid of it and got my FL. I will try n find out what they used.................If it got tar off it should get rid of paint.

apparently nail varnish remover will get everything off - not sure where'd you'd buy a couple of gallons of it from thou

Not on Plastic it won't not without making a mess of the plastic. Steam cleaner is probably your best bet I would have thought a good pressure washer would have done it as I have used one to strip paint of a brickwall before now.

bought some "nitromors super strip paint and varnish remover" from b&q t'other day. did a top job of getting gloss paint off brickwork. not sure what it would do to plastic wheelarch liner though. test a small bit on an inconspicuous area first etc etc

thanks for all your suggestions, most of it off now but will borrow a steam claener to see if it gets all the awkward bits off, fingers crossed!!!
