Hi everyone just joined the forum I've got a td5 discovery with a solinoid 2 low voltage problem in the auto gearbox . Can anyone tell me if the gearbox has to be removed to fit a new one or if you have had similar experiences and know how to rectify the problem.
Many thanks

Thank you very much has anyone got diagrams ?
You would be better downloading RAVE for the entire workshop manual.
Here's a flavour of what you get

better be more specific with the fault code or description cos from your statement i understand that there's low voltage to the solenoid so a feed issue not a bad solenoid, whi would you remove the solenoid as long as it doesnt get enough voltage?...it's like you replace a bulb at home cos it's dark due to lack of energy

for that you dont have to locate the valve(if it's about low voltage) you have to locate the valve block harness plug and the wires to MV2 valve if that's the culprit and that's C0243 /L=earth, K=feed (see RAVE - Electrical library - Connector) id you couldn download a RAVE download the electrical library from here Dreaded m and s fault (limp mode)
