guys p38 4.6 just turns over, fuel pump replaced, relay changed, blackbox solutions sync gadget, code reset spark at the plugs and no power at fuel pump and all cables are all OK still just turns over any ideas gratefully received

Have you tried directly powering the pump to see if it runs and in doing so, tried starting the engine?

Should just be a case of bridging the relay as necessary.
no have not tried that yet but I will tomorrow thank you for the suggestion SaintV8

Inertia switch?
Good call it was a bad connection on the inertia switch, but out for a drive today and all electrics died and bad smell of burning, electrics came back to life still smell of burning then gearbox fault message. stopped the car turned it off. ignition all works states it has a gearbox fault and its dead when you try to start it. So recovered again by the RAC any ideas again gratefully received guys

Fuse box is common for burning out....but that is the one under the bonnet...the BeCM fusebox seldom gives trouble...but whip of the seat surround and take a look around....

If you smelt it in the car, I'd be very cautious until you THOROUGHLY check everything!

Transfer Box ECUs have been known to burn out...this *could* give gearbox fault warnings....this is located under the passenger (UK) seat.

Saint V8 the burning smell went off inside the car but standing out side the passenger door you could smell the acrid electric burning smell? I really thought I was going to see my precious vogue 50 go up in smoke, the engines tick over also was unusually high as well today after sorting the inertia switch

Can attest to the above. The stench of a burning compressor is something to behold.
Eas compressor was bloody hot but its brand new, had a look today and have full electrics but just dont even turn over just states gearbox fault so I will look further

If it is feeding a leak it would be.
Ok the latest news gearbox code has been removed and have traced the burning to the starter motor being stuck on, the solenoid was OK but starter is burnt out, new one order so more news to follow. the air suspension is OK as it hasn't dropped at all

You need to be finding out why that happened. Before your new unit suffers the same fate.
