can anyone help i had a automatic discovery but changed the box for manual its not starting and having alot of problems if you can help please would be very greatful been on this over a week now and am ready to scrap it its a 300 tdi thanxs

Sounds like the engine interlock (which prevents starting if the Auto box is in anything other than P or N) is still in place. Although that would stop it turning over.

First things first. Get yer arse into the introductions bit.

Do you think that letting us know if it was turning over or dead on key etc may just help us to help you?
