Can anyone help me!

My landrover was fine this morning now it won't fire up just keeps turning over but won't fire!!

No glow plug light on Dash has anyone had this problem and what was the cause!

Help needed fast or the wife will kill me if I can't pick her up from work:mad:

ave yer checked that there's fuel in it?
ave yer checked yer fuses (e.g. glow plug)?
can yer hear yer lift pump working?
are yer in the AA or RAC?

Plenty of fuel just filled up yesterday
Where is my glow plug fuse is it the engine management? one under the bonnet or in the steering wheel inside the car?

Lift pump??? what is that!

look in yer owners manual for fuse location.
lift pump is in the fuel tank - you should hear it ticking when you switch the ignition on.

Depends which one it is as the td4 has three. If its the one in the fuel tank you can expect main dealer to take the best part of £400 of your dosh.

Not sure at all!
The guy who had a look at my car used to work for Landrover and he had it on the diagnostic computer, so looks like that's the one!
Just was hoping I could get the part anywhere but the main dealer!
But thanks for your reply

Hi there
Try your local BEARMACH stockist look on there website for local stockist
the pump is under the o/s rear seat just pull up carpet and remove screws
find out if your pump is 2 lead or 4 but i think the 4 lead supercedes the 2
dead easy 2 remove just diconnect pipes and wiring gaz

I am about to replace my td4 high pressure fuel pump.(see thread one up from this) I have seen them for 150 + vat + 7 quid delivery.. It was at the famousfour web site Famous Four - Independent Land Rover Parts, Accessories, Sales & Servicing Specialist - Land Rover Parts, Land Rover Accessories, Land Rover Vehicle Sales, Servicing & Repair

I have been told though that you should replace both pumps at the same time.. A bit like the clutch master and slave.. I ignored the advice on the clutch and had to replace the slave a week after the master.. An expensive lesson.

Hope this helps

Mark
