Me yet again!
As you'll know I'm swopping engines between my two Discoverys. Now on removing the clutch cover, seemed a good idea to replace the clutch while the engine's out, I find that there is play between the two parts of the flywheel. A little in rotation and about an 1/8 inch in and out. There was some "shiny dust" round the clutch splines! I'll try and add photos.
Question: should I need to replace the flywheel do I go for a replacement "duel mass" or go for one of the solid conversion jobs? Heard mixed opinions on this, I should add that I use the car only on the road and to tow a heavy caravan.
Any opinion expressed gratefully received.
Mac.
