Hey folks,

Just got back to cambs after a 650 mile trip in the landy from NW Scotland. Went to start it up again last night and it started fine, no odd noises except it stalled about 10 seconds later and wouldn't start again.

It does sound a little different when trying to start than it normally does now but I can't imagine there is something wrong with the starter motor if it stalled after starting fine.

I have checked the air lines, put a new air filter in for good measure and all is ok there. Pumped the lift pump several times and replaced fuel filter with new diesel in. Still doesn't start. Got my old man to try and start it as i broke off the nuts on the top of the injectors and no diesel spilt out???

So I am guessing there is something wrong with my injector pump.. Can anyone offer any suggestions or tests I can do to see what is at fault and solve the problem.

Cheers

is the stop solenoid on top of the pump ok, is there a feed to it with ignition on. if not is it ok if you put one to it from somewhere else

Thanks, just been looking that up, tested it and it is working fine.

I'm guessing the timing belt has snapped as the rockers are not moving when I crank the engine with oil cap off....

:(:(:(:(:(
