Freelander '03' plate Td4. Just replaced the turbo pipes which had split, and replaced engine breather kit, cleaned out that egr thingy and left the pipe off it with a screw in the end as recommended by other guys on here but 0-60 is about 25 seconds embaressingly. It chuffed out loads of black smoke when the pipes blew but its running smooth and no smoke now but very sluggish. The turbo's whistling a nice tune so whats the crack ? Will a simple injector cleaner do the job or is my maf knackered ? Or do I need a diagnostics test ? Any advice appreciated, Cheers.

If the MAF is at fault, try unplugging it! if it pulls better unplugged get it changed for a new one. simple but makes a big difference. you could also get a MAFAM (MAF amplifier) from roverron to improve the performance slightly if you wanted to make it perform a bit better. Might have been worth cleaning the innards of the intercooler while you had the pipes off as well while you had the chance.
