Hi everyone, i have a defender 90 that i have striped to a rolling chassis well a rolling pile of rust

i am thinking of swapping the chassis for a range rover chassis does any one have any info on this? any help would be helpful

they aint the same size

90 is called that because it has a wheel base of Approx 90" RR & Discos share the same chassis with a wheel base of 100". lots of peeps have done a hybrid and grafted a 90 body on to a disco chassis just do a search..

I have looked in to it a bit and know i will have to do a bit of chopping the rear end of my chassis is good and i have a pair of new out riggers and a large work shop i can work in

How bad is bad?
I thought my chassis was f*cked but the welder spent two days working on it and left it like new.

Cost me £100 and a night on the **** and I was contemplating buying a galv chassis!!!

The rear section is fine as it was replaced. and bulk head forward is solid. both out riggers have fell off, the tube out riggers have rotted off then on the chassis rails it is bad under the rear bump stops and has moved up, then the bit in the middle linking the rails. saying that i do have a friend who is a very good welder and likes to drink could be worth getting him over.
