Hi all got 4 new terraferma hd drive flanges fitted the 2 rear with no problems
But the front one's not so
Right i have a 1990 200tdi defender
Drums on rear discs on front
As i send rears fitted on 100%
But front didnt
All lined up ok but i couldnt get the cerclip on the end of the shaft
I pulled the shaft out as far as it whould go arfter fitting the new flange but didnt c the cutout for the clip so then i tryed fitting the wheel back on and it didnt go on all the way i had a 5_8 mm gap plus the flange was scrapping matel of the wheel as it when on but still couldnt get it to fit !!!!!
Fitted one back on and went as it should ....
Do i need a thinner flange
Alloys are freestyle like on td5 ?

any pics, a 200tdi should have the thicker flange all round, cv is often needed to be pulled out quite firmly and hub neds to be straigh not in either lock

Hub was strate
Lets egnor the shaft as i might have not pulled it hard enough....
Massive problem was the alloy wheel didn't go back on right
The wheel was scrapping its way on there was no way it was going to fit unless i groung out the wheel or flange flat sides
I couldn't get the front wheel on all the way flush with the hub

I use one of the flange bolts in the end of the shaft to pull it out. put the flange on finger tighten a couple of the bolts and then put the circlip on. Finally remove the bolt from the shaft , fit and tighten all the bolts.

Have you tried just fitting the flange into the alloy? off the vehicle. But I take it the rear one fitted in the alloys.

Cheers

Rears went in fine
Its like i need wheel spacers to make the wheel fit...

This is the wheel i have
It will not sit flush with the drum
Ive had them on since i got the 90 but with the hd flanges fitted only fits on rear
Front will not sit flush and new flange is digging into alloy wheel ????

Was there any reason for wanting to put the HD flanges on?

If I was you I would call the supplier or terrafirma tomorrow and ask them what gives.

Cheers

Going to pop in the local independent lr garage c what they say

but your fitting the wrong wheels to that age of vehicle, you cant expect the flange maker to cater for that

You r 100% right
I think 30mm wheel spacers is what i need to make them fit

You r 100% right on that
I think 30mm spacers will over come this
Plus i wasgoing to fit some spacers sooner or later.....
